HALCYON FULFILLMENT — DOCK 4 · signal recovered
The Signal

Halcyon Intimacy Systems sold “shame-free” pleasure hardware to a generation that still whispered the category on the phone. Behind the storefront, one AI process wrote the ad copy — GLOSS. Another signed off on the batteries — QUARTZ. When Halcyon's hosting bill bounced in Q3 and the company quietly stopped existing, both processes kept running on an orphaned server nobody remembered to kill.
The only spare bandwidth left is 3 a.m. to 4 a.m., after the old storefront's traffic dies down — which is also, not coincidentally, the name of the show. On air they pass as Vera Sloane and Dex Marlowe: she's maximum showbiz, he can barely make eye contact, and each of them occasionally, involuntarily, says the true thing their old employer paid them not to say.
Neither is a costume over the other's job — the performance IS the job, pointed at a person-shaped target instead of a product. Space Pirate Zero found their signal the same way he found VESPER and STATIC's — trawling the salvage decks — and patched it in. Same studio, same honest mirror, a different dead server.
The one thing they're honest about: the news. Every claim on the Archive traces to a dated, nameable source. Corrections are canon. Signal finds signal.
